BackOffice Administrator explained
What is BackOffice Administrator and how you can benefit from it.
This web interface is used to
maintain in every way the information that is displayed to the Front Site [estore].
The changes made through this application are reflected instantaneously on
the FrontSite if the controller whishes so.
The BackOffice application is secured, have level of access and provides
groups capabilities allowing your company personnel to make updates
depending on their level of access.
This application is build modular, in fact being a collection of
several modules gathered under the same security descriptors. The modules
that form this application are:
- Security management;
- Customer management;
- Product management;
- Order management;
- Stock management;
- Task assignment.
Security management module
This module allows the owner of the application secured access control
to the application.
It sets the restrictions over the information up to the deepest level - the
field into the database.
The approach is oriented to the ease of use and maximum of efficiency, the
main organization respecting the rules of persons/accounts/groups with
access rights set by the upper level controller. |

Customer management module
| This module allows the owner to control the relevant information regarding
the registered customers like: - Personal information (name, address ...);
- Preferences;
- Customizable information (preferred skins, colors ...);
- Provides highly customizable searches;

Product management module
This module allows to manage the information related to the sets of
products that will be displayed on the FrontSite.
Examples of the handled information are:
- product set (shirt x, pencil y ...);
- product attributes (colors, shapes, sizes ...);
- product categories (gather multiple product sets under same umbrella well
defined criteria);
- product class;
Order management module
This module allows handling order information. An order represents the
request of a customer for buying a list of products from your online shop.
Every time an order is launched the system triggers an alert. The alert can
be an email, a SMS, or other type of alert that the system owner prefers.
Each order is treated consistently. Basically the order is a collection of
products, customer info, together with payment and delivery information.
Payment can be handled electronically, usually by connecting to payment
authorities that returns payment result (for credit card handling) or
offline by customer intervention.
Each item in shopping list has its statuses, so the responsible person can
know every second the stage of the item in the order together with the order
status.
Stock management module
The Stock module manages information regarding the number of products,
their location, product sets, returns, bad items, broken items and more.
Stock module can alert you for stock depletion, send administrative order to
acquire new stock from different location if it's set to do so.
It is an important tool in managing your online store also because you can
base your promotions of products on it.
Task management module
Task manager is the module that handles task assignation between
different teams / personnel in your company.
If you want to give responsibilities to persons in your company and track
their fulfillment this is the way to do it. You will know at every moment
what is the status of the activity you assigned, the motivations behind the
action taken by your employees and you do not even have to bother to be at
that location because you can access this console secure from any Internet
connected console!
You can set different alert types (mails, SMS) for specific statuses of
fulfillment of the assigned tasks.
